I have been using lemon water for years!
Literally, I started back in 2013 when I learned about it and never looked back.
Before I started, I did my research as I am not gonna lie, it sounded too gimmicky… You know all over the internet articles popping up about how drinking water with a wedge of lemon in it can help you lose weight, age backward, feel better, etc.
I have to say, I was astonished at how simple yet effective adding this to my morning routine and how it made a huge difference in my overall wellness.
The Power of Lemon Water!
I have been blessed to have always been able to maintain a healthy weight by eating well and exercising regularly. My family and friends, on the other hand, it’s a whole different story.
Being around friends and family who are struggling with their weight turned me to a pessimist when it comes to hearing about weight-loss fads.
TV commercials are filled with ads about bills and easy diets that promise this or that.
Truthfully, from experience, I’ve learned that without putting in the effort, energy, and work needed to be in shape, a fad can’t fix anything.
Ok, now that you know how skeptical I was, let me tell you why I even entertained using lemon water 🙂
I Am a Big Believer in Nature’s Gift to Us
And both Lemon and Water are nature-given products. So while it sounded gimmicky to drink lemon water, I didn’t see any harm in giving this a try.
Also, I know how powerful lemon can be in terms of boosting the immune system. So I figured; Heck, Zane, you got nothing to lose!
Additionally, no matter how much exercising and dieting we do, we all can use a little boost to kickstart our metabolism.
So today is your lucky day, cause here is a 100% natural recipe that you can start using today to implement lemon water into your day.
Here Is the Recipe:
Three simple ingredients:
- Medium-size lemon 1
- A bit of fresh parsley
- Water 6-8 oz (More if you like)
The Preparation:
Cut the lemon and squeeze all the juice into an empty glass.
Then, finely Chop up the parsley and mix it with the lemon juice.
Finally, add the water to the glass and stir the ingredients together.
Drink this upon waking up on an empty stomach. Keep doing that for 6 days. Then, follow up with a 10 days break.

- Lemon is acidic, be careful if you’re prone to heartburn or have acidic stomach
- Because of lemon’s acidic nature, it can erode the enamel of your teeth if used in access, that’s why I use a straw
- If you’re prone to headache, skip this as citrus fruits can trigger a headache in some people.
