Guilt is by far one of the most detrimental emotions you could keep in your heart.
It literally serves no purpose. I mean it!
Holding on to unnecessary guilt is one of the worst things you could do for your mind, body, relationships and overall well-being.
As if that wasn’t enough, guilt can also be abused to manipulate you!
What a terrible emotion right?

The 2 Steps to Let Go of Guilt
1. Consciously Acknowledge Your Guilt
Similarly to getting over other problems, the first step to letting go of guilt is to acknowledge it.
Now, you might be thinking: I already acknowledge it! That’s why I’m here! Keep reading, because it’s deeper than that, trust me.
Acknowledging guilt isn’t just accepting that it’s there.
Instead, think of it like opening your heart, soul, and mind to it.
I know it seems counterintuitive, but it’s essential to do this to let go of guilt.
The reason it’s so important to “open up” to guilt is because it’s the only way that you can really understand the why you’re burdened with that guilt in the first place.

I know it might sound a little bit philosophical, but the truth is that consciously acknowledging this emotion isn’t as hard as it sounds. But before I reveal the how, I’ve got to get into the second and final step to letting go of guilt.
2. Practice Guided Meditation to Release Guilt
Hey, it’s no secret that I’m a HUGE fan of meditation.
There’s a reason for that.
Among the dozens of ways to meditate, I believe that the absolute best method for what we’re aiming for is guided meditation.
In particular, you’ve got to use affirmations, because in order to let go, you’ve got to welcome positive emotions of joy and abundance into your life.

Seriously, you can spend hours looking for the right guided meditation and find absolutely nothing worth your while.
Believe me, I was there.
The good news is that I did that work for you!
