Trust your intuition. You don't need to explain or justify your feelings to anyone, just trust your own inner guidance, it knows best.

Can you trust your intuition? This is a question that’s asked by many & the short answer is Yes, You CAN!

In today’s post, you’ll find 11 practical ways to cultivate your intuitive side and learn how to trust your intuition.

Let me first tell you how learning to trust my intuition saved my life and why I am now a proponent of awakening intuition.

I am fortunate to have had an evolved grandmother. It was she who taught me to honor my intuition rather than suppress it.

The gift of intuition I developed at a young age was of critical importance to me in growing up during wartime in Baghdad, Iraq.

It also was also very helpful to me when I went to the U.S. from Iraq and had to adjust to a new life here.

My first thought when I moved to the United States was that people are so out of touch with their intuitive side.

In fact, being a new immigrant, I was amazed by how little intuition most people had and how difficult they find it to discern the situations they find themselves in.

Getting paralyzed by a difficult decision can indeed happen to anyone. However, when it comes to Western Civilization as a whole, I noticed that the majority has a difficult time making decisions during times of change.

Honestly, it was not surprising to me since most western civilizations are based upon logic and other left-brain activities.

Though I was NOT surprised, it also gave me the chance to talk deeply with people. As a result of those talks, so many revelations have come to light, which I am now sharing with you.

Why intuition is so important?

Why intuition is so important?

It’s amazing what intuition can do.

Intuition can assist you with making decisions, but it can also tell you when you’re in danger.

Another key point is that we all have an intuitive sense, even if we do not always pay attention to it.

You’ll learn how to trust your gut and strengthen your intuitive abilities so that when you are faced with life’s most difficult challenges, you can navigate them with confidence and grace.

Developing your intuitive side and trusting it is possible when you practice these 11 practical tips.

#11: Never be afraid to trust your own intuition, and make sure you’re listening to the right person!

You are the architect of your own life. It’s important to be mindful of those around you who may want to lead you in a direction that is not aligned with what you really desire and feel deep down inside.

The key is to listen, but never forget that it’s ultimately up to you which direction you take.

After all, it’s your life! You deserve happiness, so don’t settle for anything less than the best version of yourself out there!

Besides, with age and insight, you will be able to recognize when someone is not being honest or has an ulterior motive.

It is for this reason that gut feelings should NOT be ignored – more on that on the next point.

#10: Be guided by your intuition and trust your gut instincts!

“Your intuition is the best way to make decisions. It’s always right, and it never lies.” – Tony Robbins

We all have the ability to use our gut instincts in a good way, but sometimes we don’t trust ourselves enough or we are too afraid of what might happen if things don’t work out.

Be aware that life has consequences either way so we might as well go with what feels right for you!

If you’re reading this blog post then chances are you know how hard it can be at times when making tough decisions because there just aren’t any clear-cut answers.

Your intuition is your best guide for these types of situations and I’m here today to show you how, so keep reading!

As always, feel free to comment at the end of this post if you want any clarification!

#9: Pay attention to your feelings as they occur and remain present in your life!

Feelings are a good indication of what is going on in your life.

No matter how uncomfortable or absurd the feelings you are feeling right now may seem, they can tell you where you are misusing your energy and how you could be spending it in more creative ways.

Generally, your body knows what needs to happen next before your mind does, so if something feels off, there’s probably a reason for that. Listen to and explore these feelings as soon as they come up, even if you’re not sure why they’re arising.

#8: Start paying more attention to your senses to see if you’re blocking out anything.

Did you know how your senses can relate to intuition?

Research shows that our five senses are a key factor in understanding our intuitive natures.

You might not be aware of it but there is a strong correlation between the five senses and how we intuitively behave. Go here to find out more about this connection.

There are many ways your sense of smell, sight, taste, touch, and sound can enhance or diminish intuition according to research.

So, be present as you go through your life and see what sense is awaking more of your intuitive side.

#7: Allow your intuition and your dreams to guide you!

Intuition and dreams go hand in hand.

Intuition is your subconscious telling you something. You might not be sure what it’s trying to tell you, but it’s there.

In other words, intuition is like a sixth sense that provides insights on decisions that need making, opportunities coming by, and even warnings about potential dangers ahead.

Dreams are one way for your subconscious to talk to the conscious part of YOU.

It also happens when we’re awake in the form of daydreams or ideas popping into our heads out of nowhere.

Pay attention to these little messages because they could be revealing important information about yourself and life events around you!

Besides, you can learn a great deal about your intuition when you have time to reflect.

Also, keeping a dream journal can be helpful when reflecting on your dreams.

The next time you feel stuck and unable to move forward, try listening for intuition messages in your dreams!

#6: Work with a professional for help to trust your intuition!

If you are finding it difficult to interpret your intuition, don’t hesitate to consult a professional intuitive.

Intuition is an inherent human trait that can be strengthened with practice and help from others who have experienced its benefits first-hand.

A spiritual counselor or a psychotherapist may be able to offer you a degree of support to develop your intuition.

If you’d like to get more insights, feel free to book an intuitive reading with me!

#5: Spend time contemplating or meditating!

Meditation and contemplation are essential for developing intuition and connecting with your higher self.

In addition to clearing any mental blocks keeping intuition suppressed, this will also help you stay centered.

The thing about being human is that we tend to block our intuition with busy minds, which is why we should take time every day to unplug and pay attention to what our intuition is telling us.

#4: Practice intuition with intention!

For intuition to become stronger, you want to practice it every day.

Be intentional when it comes to learning how to listen to that intuition’s voice inside you. Using your intuition more frequently will make it stronger!

The gift of intuition is a gift that Spirit/God/The Universe bestowed upon all of us that we forgot how to access.

Time to awaken your intuitive senses and start to trust your intuition.

#3: Trust your gut feelings when interacting with others!

Intuition is one of the most powerful tools that you have in your arsenal.

It’s a sense, an instinct, a gut feeling that tells you what to do or not to do.

Trust your instincts and your feelings when you are in a public place or when interacting with people, as well!

When your intuition tells you to take certain actions or avoid certain things, learn to listen and discern.

Besides, intuition has a way of not stopping until it is heard or acted upon.

Through life’s trials and tribulations, I’ve learned to trust my intuition, but it hasn’t always been easy.

It took me a while to grasp what was going on inside my head before learning how to trust my intuition.

I sometimes made mistakes!! But that’s what makes life so exciting.

#2: Honor how you’re feeling as feelings lead to knowing!

For some, knowing when to trust your gut is a skill that comes naturally.

Yet for others, it can be difficult to know when you should listen to your intuition.

It’s often the case that we’ll have an “uh-oh” feeling in the pit of our stomach or sense something isn’t quite right but end up ignoring these feelings because they seem irrational.

But what if those thoughts were actually just signs from your intuition?

Intuition is all about trusting yourself and listening to your inner voice! (More on that on the next tip.)

That means taking a deep breath and setting some time to think before making any big decisions – even ones like deciding on what to wear for the day or where to go out for dinner with friends?

The next time you feel a little unsettled about taking a certain route to work or feel guided to explore a certain thing, listen to your gut feelings!

#1: Trust yourself and be open to intuitive guidance!

Most of the time, when we intuitively know something, we don’t understand how or why we know it? But it’s trust that’s key in those situations!

Trust yourself! It takes time and practice to tap into your intuition properly.

Intuition makes you feel like you have a sixth sense, like you know something without having to think about it.

Pay attention to your intuition if it tells you that your current situation is not right for you, or if you see warning signs in the future.

Be sure to take your time to understand what your intuition is trying to tell you.

Also, remember that taking action on those gut feelings is crucial, or else the feelings will keep bugging you. (At least that’s the case for me and for the thousands of people I worked with over the years)

As you intuition becomes stronger with practice and patience, you’ll start tuning into it more effectively.

Think of all the feelings that have guided you so far in life–that is intuition!
