If you’re trying to increase your wellbeing and boost your happiness, well, you’re in for a treat!

Increasing happiness is a topic that’s pretty general, but hugely important, right?

We live in a day and age where we are bombarded by so many things that remind us of what we are missing and what we are not living up to.

That’s creating a lot of unhappiness!

Today, I’ll teach you not one but 5 simple ways that are known to boost happiness and make you feel more vital and energetic.

A quote that says: "I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition.
I love this quote from Martha Washington!

People always ask me: “Zane, you seem to be cheerful, extra-energetic, positive, how do you do that?”

Well, it simple!

I Turned Happiness Into a Habit!

I wake up each day and decide to feel happy!

The first thing I do before I even get out of bed is just SMILE; I smile while expressing gratitude for the gift of life.

Power of smiling

Smiling even when you don’t feel like it aid in lifting your mood and boosts your happiness by increasing your feel-good hormones and that’s been proved by science.

If you want to read more about how smiling can speed recovery when a stressful experience is over, please take a deep dive into this amazing article from Psychology Today.

Som while smiling, I give THANKS to the great night sleep I received; I also give gratitude to the opportunity of a brand-new day filled with all the opportunities that are yet to come with it.

Listing as many things that I am grateful for really helps boost my happiness levels almost instantly.

Here’s a video I created about why gratitude is a MUST cultivate habit:

After my smiling gratitude practice, I get up and drink a tall glass of water.

Most people sleep 5-8 hours per night, and that’s a long time without hydration, so drinking water upon waking up really helps hydrate my body which also helps with boosting happiness.

Then, I spent 5-10 minutes to get centered by practicing mindfulness or doing a 10-minute meditation session using calm.

If you want to learn more about why I meditate daily, please read my article How Mindfulness Saved My Life.

As soon as I am done with my meditation, I am ready to conquer the day!
