1. Find the Right Work for You
Now this might seem cryptic, and well, it is… It’s a little hard to explain in a title, but you absolutely can’t skip this step!
Finding the right work-life balance for you starts with finding the right work to begin with.
The reason finding the right work is so important is that if you really don’t like what you’re doing, you’re going to be innately slower.

In other words, working the wrong job or in the wrong field for you will suck up more of your time, energy and concentration (it’ll also probably stress you out, which sucks!)
Now that we know why you need to make sure you’re in the right field. Let’s talk about how.
How Can You Know When Your Work Is Right for You and Your Work-Life Balance?
You might expect something along the lines of “it just feels right.” But no, that’s not really how this works (at least not most of the time…)
Working is hard.
It doesn’t matter if you’re doing what you love or what you despise, it’s tough.
At times it won’t feel right, doubt will settle in, etc… However, there’s a very specific way to tell if you are where you’re supposed to be right now. Ask yourself this:
Is my work aligned with my goals and true purpose?
If the answer is a resounding “Yes!” Then you’re well on your way to manifesting that life you’ve always dreamt of, keep going! Your work-life balance is going to be a-okay!
If the answer is more negative or questioning, I would recommend giving meditation a go.
Meditation can definitely help you understand yourself on a deeper, more spiritual level. And that, in turn, helps you with clarity and finding your true calling.
Whatever the case may be, make sure you persevere!
2. Set Your Priorities
Naturally, you’re going to have to set your priorities right if you’re trying to have a healthy and effective work-life balance.
Now, don’t get me wrong, setting priorities is one of the hardest things you can do! However, it’s also extremely important and when you get it done right, it’s wonderful!
Now there’s no real easy way to set your priorities, but I’ve got a little blueprint to get you started…
First thing’s first, you’ve got to have a list of goals!

Using his method, you’ll see how easy it can really be to narrow down your top goals!
Now that you’ve got a list of your long-term goals, let’s talk about using those goals to craft the perfectly healthy work-life balance!

With your top goals in mind, try making a checklist every day of 5 or 6 things you just have to do.
Focus on those!
Make sure to include time with your loved ones. These are your top priorities that you absolutely GET to get done.

3. Include Some Personal Time
I know it might sound counterintuitive, but in reality, the number one reason people fail to maintain a healthy work-life balance is because they don’t include any personal time in their schedule.
It is absolutely essential to keep time for yourself! You’ve got to be able to dedicate time, preferably every day, to your spiritual and personal development.
Make time to meditate and cultivate mindfulness because, believe me, meditation is one of the most amazing things you can do for yourself!
