Trusting Your Gut Instinct

Trust Your Gut Instinct!

This morning, a quote from my friends at McGill Media came on my newsfeed. It’s all about trusting your gut instinct!

Never discredit your gut instinct. You are not paranoid. Your body can pick up on bad vibrations. If something deep inside of you says something is not right about a person or situation, trust it.

This one hit home for me. I actually felt a deep sense of emotional pain as I read that statement.

My emotions are still healing from an experience I had within my recent past.

During that experience, my gut instincts were trying to tell me something, but I kept ignoring that feeling.

I was discrediting my own gut instinct; the instinct that had an inner knowing of what was about to occur in my life.

Sadly, I discredited my own gut feeling and shrugged the feeling as just me being paranoid when in reality my higher-self was sensing a lousy vibration from certain people and certain behaviors that were out of alignment for me and my core values.

The outcome of ignoring my instincts was an utter disappointment.

Looking at the events that transpired in hindsight, I couldn’t help but notice how big of a lesson I learned for not trusting my own gut feeling.

My intention in sharing this is that you can shortcut your growth journey and to learn through my lessons.

How To Honor Your Gut Instinct?

Before you can honor your gut instincts, you get to learn how to identify the signs that your guts instinct is giving you signals.

I am sure you have heard of many various examples of gut instinct.

Even better, can you recall an event where your gut instinct was trying to tell you something?

Each person experiences their gut instincts differently.

So my invitation to you today is that when you start getting signs that your gut instinct is trying to tell you something, do not ignore them.

Honoring your instincts will enable you to trust yourself, and you’re inner knowing more.

Here are 9 signs that your gut feeling is trying to tell you something and why it’s important to listen.

1. Body Pains:

Your body communicates with you all the times.

Every little feeling, ache, and pain has a hidden message and meaning behind it.

Please pay attention to your gut feelings when certain aches and pains appear or certain ailments manifest.

Discrediting your gut feelings can manifest as physical pain or ailment.

2. Dreams

Our gut feeling might communicate with us when we are in a dream state.

Sleeping is a reset point for the mind, where we stop judging and surrender to consciousness.

Each dream you have might hold a special message relating to how the dream might fit into your current life.

I invite you to keep a dream journal.

You can dream hack yourself to find solutions to things that you feel stuck about. To do that, before going to bed, in your dream journal, write down those things that are requiring answers.

Then, breathe, relax, and surrender to sleep.

The time right before you fall asleep is when your transition from the alpha brain wave to the theta brainwaves.

That’s the best time to seek a solution to what you planted into your mind right before you went to bed.

When in theta, you enter the imagination and dream state.

3. Spirit Animals

Seeing specific animals during certain times that can mean signs and clues to particular situations in your life. Pay attention to that! You never know when your gut feeling might pop up.

Each animal has a specific meaning and interpretation.

4. Angel Numbers

Same as with the spirit animals, seeing certain numbers can mean specific interpretations that could play a major role in your life.

The underlying meaning of these angel numbers when you see them is as follows:

0—Your Creator loves you. You’re favored and blessed.

1— You become what you think about. Pay attention to your thoughts give energy to your desires and not your fears. Likes attract likes.

2—You’re not alone. Trust the process and never give up hope.

3—Jesus, Muhammed, The Buddha, or other Ascended Masters are helping you.

4—The Angels are assisting you as you navigate your life.

5— Change is on the way. Have faith and be open to positive outcomes.

6—Let go of your money and material worlds fears and doubts.

7—You’re on the right path. Remain focused.

8—Be open to abundance. Great things are heading your way.

9—You have a divine purpose to serve. Do not delay, answer your calling.

When you see a combination of numbers, simply “add” the meaning of each given number to give meaning to the number.

For instance, if you see number 453, this would mean: “The angels are with you, positive change is coming your way, and if you need help ask the ascended masters for guidance.”

5. Gut Feeling Whispers

Many times your intuition will communicate with you with gut feeling whispers.

These are deep inspirations that come from the depth of your soul.

These whispers are fantastic at sensing danger and guiding you towards safer ground, assuming you learn how to trust your instincts.

6. Serendipitous Outcomes

If serendipitous outcomes seem to be occurring all around you all of a sudden, then this is a sign that you’re in tune with your gut instincts.

Times like the moment you think of a friend, and then a few minutes later they text or call you. Or the time you needed 57 cents in change, and you found the exact amount in your wallet or purse as if it was magic.

Synchronicities are signs from The Divine that we are on the right track.

7. Having Dejavus

According to Meriam-Webster dictionary, a Dejavu is:

Definition of déjà vu

In the case of your gut instincts, you feel as if you had that experience before.

The feeling as if you heard that song before even though it’s a brand new song.

Or reading a chapter of a new book and feel as if you lived that book in a previous life or as if your current life is that chapter of the book.

These are Deja Vous, and they are great to look into as they are messages from our intuitive self to cut the noise and elevate our conscious decisions

8. You Can Sense Fake a Mile Away

A sign of a highly developed intuitive side is the ability to see fake people.

You see people on an energetic level that goes deeper than the fake smiles and pretentious hugs.

Trust your gut when you feel a fake, it’s your gut trying to save you heartache.

9. Nightmare

Just like when our instincts communicate with us via dreams, they could do the same with nightmares.

Please seek help and support from a trained professional if you keep experiencing nightmares.

And while you seek help, maybe look into certain nightmare interpretations. This website is the leading authority on nightmare and dream interpretations: https://www.dreamdictionary.org

When I experience a nightmare, I drink a tall glass immediately upon waking up.

I take a few deep breaths and tune into my body to see where I might feel the nightmare.

I jot down notes about the experience in my dream journal.

So, guys, I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to trust your instincts.

Here Are 3 Time When I Highly Recommend You Trust Your Gut Instincts:

1. I sense danger…

It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Be wise and listen to your gut if you find yourself sensing danger while in a situation.

2. Something doesn’t feel right…

Your gut always knows when something is not right.

So the next time, your gut gives you that inner feeling about something or someone, trust that feeling.

I noticed that trusting this one has made the process of decision making much easier.

3. I must do this…

Have you ever got the overwhelming sensation to do something specific like to sign up for a class, or go to a particular place?

I had, many times!

And on many occasions, I met the most amazing people and had the most fabulous experiences by simply honoring my intuition and trusting my gut instincts.

So there you have it, my friends!

Everything you need to know about honoring your gut instinct.

Enjoy and share the wisdom!
