The Definition of Happiness!

Happiness resides not in possessions, and not in gold, it dwells in the soul.

I love this artwork created by my friend Steven Web illustrating the quote from Democritus.

Being happy is something, everyone, strive for, yet they fail to get!

Why, you may ask?

Because most people mistake success for happiness!

You see, you might be successful, you might have a fortune, and lots of material possessions but still feel empty.

Because without happiness all material possessions are meaningless.

So let’s start by defining happiness in the first place!

This definition is just the beginning, and you get to dig deeper from here.

Most people probably don’t fell the need to have a formal definition of happiness.

They know happiness is a positive emotion that is felt in the body and sometimes described as joy, contentment, or gratitude.

Well, that’s the surface level of the Definition of Happiness.

In order to truly understand the causes and effects of happiness, see how psychologist and researcher Sonja Lyubomirsky describes happiness in the video below:

Happiness is a topic that I love to learn about so you can imagine how I felt when I found this hidden gem!
